Contemporary Floor Technique Class. Have you ever moved and danced with your full body on the floor for an hour and a half? In this floor movement class you will do just that. You will explore techniques of moving, sliding, inverting and traveling through space without ever standing upright. This class will challenge the way you are used to moving and invite you to explore how your mind and body work while learning long movement phrases on the ground. Knee Pads or at minimal thick sweat pants to cover your legs are a must during this week. This class will build both abdominal and upper body strength. You will work hard, move quickly, become disoriented and reoriented. This is an intermediate/ advanced level movement class for anyone who is interested in new physical challenges. This class is taught by Jodi Obeid--a Philadelphia based professional dancer/choreographer and teacher.
