Free Library Festival: John Green | Paper Towns

Free Library of Philadelphia

1901 Vine Street Philadelphia PA 19103
  • Saturday April 18th 2009
John Green's first novel, Looking for Alaska, won the Michael L. Printz Award for excellence in young adult literature. His second novel, An Abundance of Katherines, was a Printz honor book. Along with his brother Hank, Green started a video blog called Brotherhood 2.0, which has grown into a vibrant internet community of self-professed ''nerdfighters.'' A starred School Library Journal review of Green's latest book, the New York Times Best Seller Paper Towns finds, ''Green's prose is astounding--from hilarious, hyperintellectual trash talk and shtick, to complex philosophizing, to devastating observation and truths. He nails it--exactly how a thing feels, looks, affects--page after page.''

John Green presents from the Target Children's Stage.
