Hope and frustration drive this Oscar-nominated film about an alcoholic soap opera actress who retreats to her family’s Louisiana farm after being paralyzed in an accident. There, she forges a friendship with a nurse (Alfre Woodard), whose stubbornness matches her own. This screening will be introduced by Claire Baldwin, VP of Nursing for Bryn Mawr Hospital.
