About Us
What is PhillyFunGuide.com™?
PhillyFunGuide.com is the Philadelphia region's comprehensive, up-to-date
consumer website featuring entertainment events.
Why is this online calendar different than all the others out there?
While there have been previous attempts at producing online entertainment
calendars, this one is different. It presents information for a complete range
of leisure-time activities in the entire Greater Philadelphia areamusic,
dance, sports, fairs, festivals, outdoor activities, tours, parades, dining and
more. PhillyFunGuide.com is also different because it is produced here in our
area, not in New York or somewhere removed from where the events take
place.
Who produces PhillyFunGuide.com?
PhillyFunGuide.com is the result of a collaborative effort of regional tourism
and cultural marketing organizations, coordinated by the Greater Philadelphia
Cultural Alliance. The Cultural Alliance leads the effort to increase awareness
of, participation in, and support for arts and culture organizations in the
Greater Philadelphia area on behalf of over 300 member institutions.
Who is eligible to have events included in the calendar?
Any organization that produces entertainment events (performing & visual arts,
sports, etc.) can send events for inclusion in the calendar, providing that they
are not adult oriented and are open to the general public.
Where else will my event information appear?
Most of the partners in this project produce print brochures for tourist or
local entertainment consumers. The information in the online calendar will be
used to help produce these pieces. Your information will also automatically be
provided to www.experiencepa.com, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's official
tourism website and event calendar. The Cultural Alliance is also making your
event data available, at no cost, to local media for their print and online
publications.
How can I submit my events?
If your organization produces an event you would like listed on PhillyFunGuide.com, simply click on the "submit an event" link at the bottom of our page, and use the submission form. Information should include name of the event, organization producing the event, venue for the event, date, time, price and organization and/or ticketing website.
All events will be reviewed and, if accepted, posted within 5-10 business days. PhillyFunGuide reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar, style, accuracy and content. We may also omit any events not suitable for the site.
Every event must be submitted at least 21 days prior to its start date. Please be sure to check and see if your event is already listed before submitting it.
All events must be open to the public and occur in the following counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery, Pennsylvania; New Castle, Delaware; or Burlington, Camden, or Gloucester, New Jersey. Be sure to review our categories to ensure your event is relevant to our content.
Generally, PhillyFunGuide.com does not include school events, religious services, workshops/classes or "adult" oriented entertainment. PhillyFunGuide.com reserves the right to revise, reject or cancel, in whole or in part, any events for any reason.
Can I change my event information once it is posted?
Yes. You can e-mail info@phillyfunguide.com and we will do it for you. Any
changes must be advance notice, i.e. at least one week prior to the date of the
event.
Who will see this calendar?
PhillyFunGuide.com is being marketed to consumers around the Greater
Philadelphia region as the single best place to turn for entertainment
information. These people include those who already attend entertainment events,
as well as those who have been identified as "inclined" to attend events.
Because of our collaborative relationship with regional tourism organizations,
visitors to our region will also see the calendar.
