The year is 1984, and there are two wars are raging in the US: the Cold War and the Culture War. When Aleric, a man on the fringes of society, happens upon a magical ring out of Norse mythology, he finds himself endowed with the power to judge the fate of mankind. Will the Old Gods convince Aleric to fulfill the prophesy of Ragnarok, or will the love of his life persuade him to give humanity a chance to improve?

It’s the '80s all over again in BRAT Productions’ concert reading of SAGA: The Rock Opera, the latest musical creation of BRAT Resident Artist Erik Ransom. Channeling the synth-pop sound of the '80s as well as Nordic mythology and Wagnerian opera, SAGA serves up Ransom’s unique brand of Ragnarok and roll in this updated epic myth about people on the fringe of society.
