The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross, governed by a volunteer board of directors, has been serving the people of Chester County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia County, and most of Bucks and Delaware Counties since receiving our charter in 1916. We are the 2nd largest Red Cross chapter in the nation, viewed as a leader within the Red Cross system.
