As America's oldest theatre, the magnificent Walnut Street Theatre provides exceptional entertainment for the entire family. Walnut's large Mainstage features an outstanding season of three musicals and two plays, plus the acclaimed Walnut Street Theatre for Kids series. The intimate Independence Studio on 3 showcases new works, regional premiers, thought-provoking plays and tuneful smaller musicals. The Walnut also boasts an award winning education program featuring an Adopt-a-School program, summer intensive camp program, year round theatre school, touring outreach company and professional apprentice program.
