    The National Museum of American Jewish History presents educational programs and experiences that preserve, explore and celebrate the history of Jews in America. The Museum strives to connect Jews more closely to their heritage and to inspire in people of all backgrounds a greater appreciation for the diversity of the American Jewish experience and the freedoms to which Americans aspire.

     

    The National Museum of American Jewish History offers military discounts! Present your military ID and get $1 off admission.

     

    VISITING HOURS 

    Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm*
    Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am - 5:30pm

    * From Memorial through Labor Days, the Museum stays open until 8:00pm on Wednesday evenings. Admission after 5:00 is pay-what-you-wish.

    NMAJH is closed most Mondays, including Federal holidays, but we are open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.

    HOLIDAY CLOSINGS 

    In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays:

    Passover (first day) - April 23, 2016
    Rosh HaShanah (first day) - October 3, 2016
    Yom Kippur - October 12, 2016
    Thanksgiving Day - November 24, 2016
    New Year’s Day - January 1, 2017

    The Museum also closes early (at 3:00pm) on the following holiday eves:

    Erev Passover - April 22, 2016 
    Erev Rosh HaShanah - October 2, 2016 
    Erev Yom Kippur - October 11, 2016
    Christmas Eve - December 24, 2016

    NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays (except if they happen to fall on a Monday).
