Beginning March 1, 2010, residents of Burlington County will have improved access to healthcare. On that date, Lourdes Health System will open a new emergency department at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. The emergency department, operated by Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, will reside on the grounds of Deborah, the region’s premier specialty hospital. Nestled in the Pine Barrens, Deborah’s location will offer both ambulances and walk-in patients hassle-free access to top-quality emergency care. The new ED will be fully equipped and operate 24 hours a day. The 10,000-square-foot facility will feature: Eleven exam/treatment rooms; triage bay; cardiac resuscitation room, specialized treatment areas including OB/GYN and isolation- decontamination; support services such as lab and radiology; comfortable waiting area; ample parking at an easy-to-drive-to location.
