Presented in conjunction with Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, our three-part Scholars: In Conversation series brings together audiences, scholars, and artists for fun and insightful conversations.In COMMEDIA, we'll discuss the influence of this madcap comic genre on Shakespeare and the Lantern with panelists Dr. Darlene Farabee (University of South Dakota), Charles McMahon (director, Midsummer), and Lee Ann Etzold (Helena, Midsummer).In SEX, we'll love, power, attraction, and possession – the fiery relationships at the play's heart with panelists Dr. Lois Potter (University of Delaware), Joanna Liao (Titania/Hippolyta, Midsummer), and Charlie DelMarcelle (Oberon/Theseus, Midsummer).In SUPERNATURAL, we'll discuss how the mayhem of magic drives our production. With panelists John-Paul Spiro (Villanova University), Benjamin Lloyd (Bottom, Midsummer), and Dave Johnson (Puck, Midsummer).
