Rosenbach Museum and Library

Where
2008 Delancey Place Philadelphia PA 19103

The Rosenbach Museum & Library was the home of two brothers, Dr. A.S.W. and Philip Rosenbach. A.S.W. Rosenbach was a legendary dealer and collector of rare books and manuscripts, while Philip's expertise encompassed the fine and decorative arts. Founded in 1954 to preserve the two brothers' personal collections and company archive, the Rosenbach's holdings have continued to grow. Every day there is plenty to do at the Rosenbach Museum & Library!

Take a house tour!
Offered on the hour during Museum hours, docents guide small groups of visitors through the Rosenbach brothers' 19th-century townhouse, including Dr. Rosenbach's rare book library, Philip Rosenbach's sitting room, and the recreation of modernist poet Marianne Moore's Greenwich Village living room.

Visit the special exhibitions!
The Rosenbach mounts special exhibitions that highlight the depth and breadth of the collection. You are free to explore any ongoing shows in the exhibition galleries at your leisure.

Browse in the museum shop!
Find the perfect gift in the relaxing museum shop. The shop carries an array of books, cards, and souvenirs related to the Rosenbach collections.
