Founded in 1887, the Penn Museum houses an internationally renowned collection of art and artifacts from around the world. Art, monumental architecture and mummies from ancient Egypt, Mesopotamian treasures from the royal tombs at Ur, and African, ancient Mediterranean, Chinese and Central American materials are featured in signature galleries. Special exhibitions and an active calendar of events invite the public to share in the ongoing discovery of our shared human heritage. A Museum Shop, Pepper Mill Café and inner gardens invite you to extend your experience.
