    The Reimagining Systems Series: What are the Approaches to Police Reform?

    While it’s clear that police reform is necessary, the question that many are asking in light of George Floyd’s murder and the ensuing Black Lives Matter protests is, “How?”

    Proposals for police reform range from increasing spending, education, training, and equipment (like broader adoption of body-cameras) for police to abolishing police as we know it and replacing with an increased focus on community services. And the spectrum in between is broad and complex. So again—what do we do, and how do we implement changes?
