Celebrate Dia de los Muertos!

Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday honoring family members that have passed on, by celebrating their lives, praying for them and helping them on their spiritual journey.

Generally coinciding with the Catholic tradition of All Saints Day and All Souls Day, Day of the Dead is observed between October 31st-November 2nd, with each of the three days holding significance; October 31st is the traditional All Hallows Eve, November 1st is Dia de los Angelitos, or Day of the Little Angels, a day honoring dead children and infants, and ending with November 3rd, Dia de los Muertos.

During this time, it is common for family members to spend time together, visit the cemeteries of dead ancestors, and build private altars to loved ones, along with traditional festivals and parades (though traditions vary by region).
