  • NFL Draft Weekend 2017!

As you've most likely heard by now, the 82nd NFL Draft is returning to Philly for the first time in 50 years, and it's returning bigger than ever. From April 27-29th, the 1/2 mile stretch that is the Ben Franklin parkway is going to be three days of nonstop football madness; estimated to attract up to 200,000 people. Unfortunately, that also comes with road closures, overcrowding and general feelings of frustration, which more often than not can leave a bad taste in some residents' mouths. Whether you're a football fan hoping to see the Eagles secure a top draft pick, or an annoyed Philadelphian that can't be bothered, we've got you covered. We have every event that week from the Parkway and back to help you survive the NFL Draft. To learn more about draft weekend, and all the events included, head to their official website.

    The Philadelphia Science Festival

The Philadelphia Science Festival returns this month for it's seventh season geeking out Philadlephia. For eight days, The Franklin Institute and various participating organizations across the city, will be holding science themed proms, happy hours, discussions on Mars, and much more. The week of STEM fueled excitement closes April 29th with the legendary Science Carnival at Penn's Landing. This will be going on during the week of the Draft, so if you and your family need someone to do in between draft activities (or as far away from them as possible), then this is an absolute winner.

Take part in old of Philly's oldest and most loved traditions; now celebrating it's 123rd year running, the Penn Relays returns this April. The oldest annual relay meet will be held at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field and will feature the top atheletes from high school, college, masters programs and even the Olympics. There will also be an accompanying festival with food, souvenirs and more just outside the stadium.
