Danez Smith is one of the most dynamic poets writing in America today. They are the author of three full-length poetry collections, including Don’t Call Us Dead, a finalist for the National Book Award. Smith has been the winner of numerous awards, including the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship, the Kate Tufts Discovery Award, and the Lambda Literary Award. Their poems have appeared in Poetry magazine and Ploughshares, among many other publications.
Smith’s third collection, Homie, will be published by Graywolf in Spring 2020.
