    Fine Art Music Company

6331 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19151
    • Friday November 15th 2019, 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Pianists ROLLIN WILBER and KATARZYNA SALWINSKI explore their fascination and love for composer Frederic Chopin by playing his eternally powerful music and, sharing their feelings about why they are drawn to it as performers.

“INSPIRATIONS” focuses on Chopin’s early years of growing up amidst the potent cultural life and music salons of Warsaw, Poland. It follows his initial journeying into the western world with the performance of his major works and exploring music by other composers that influenced Chopin’s own work.

MUSIC PERFORMED includes Chopin’s Ballade in G minor, B major nocturne, E minor waltz, four etudes, F minor piano concerto (2nd movement) and the Andante spianato and Grand Polonaise; plus works by Maria Szymanowska and other Polish composers.

This concert is the first of a series called “FOR THE LOVE OF CHOPIN,” comprising three concerts devoted to this inimitable composer, designed as a sojourn through parts of Chopin’s life. Details at
