The 5.2-mile Power Line Trail, which was given its name from the adjacent power lines which it parallels, serves communities in Horsham Township by connecting schools, parks, business centers, and neighborhoods along an easement managed by PECO/Exelon. The trail can be accessed via Blair Mill Road and runs to Biwood Road along a paved route that is ideal for cyclists, walkers, joggers, and in-line skaters (although due to the overhead power lines, the trail does not offer sun protection and can get quite hot.) Along the way trail users can stop to explore the Jarrett Nature Center, Jarrett Road Park, Lukens Park, and Deep Meadow Park. Although a family-friendly route, there are several road crossings, so be mindful and obey traffic signals at all times.

Eventually the Power Line Trail will extend west through Montgomery and Upper Gwynedd townships and connect with the popular Route 202 Parkway Trail, and east to the Pennypack Trail via the Cross County Trail in Upper Moreland Township. These connection will allow for further links to other Circuit Trails, as well as to the East Coast Greenway.

The Powerline Trail is a part of the Circuit Trails, a vast regional network of hundreds of miles of multi-use trails that is growing in size each year. Explore 100s of miles of happy at CircuitTrails.org

The trail is open from 8.a.m. - 8 p.m. daily.
