    We are honored to partner with The Academy of Natural Sciences for the Opening Night of their inaugural environmental film festival—Confluence: Earthly Films for Philadelphia.

    Bilal Motley is a writer, producer, actor, husband, and father from the Greater Philadelphia Area. His work focuses on environmental issues, and the intersections of class and race.


    5:30PM: Happy Hour with DJ Junior & Lil Dave of Eavesdrop Radio (WKDU) —Drinks and food on riverfront beer garden; pay-as-you-go capacity

    7PM: Film Screening: featuring two short films: Midnight Oil (2020) & Trash & Burn (2024)

    Plus—Q&A with filmmaker, Stefan Roots (mayor, Chester PA) and community organizers to-follow

    This Earth Week, the Academy of Natural Sciences debuts Confluence: Earthly Films for Philadelphia – an environmentally focused film festival in partnership with esteemed Philadelphia-area film organizations.
