    Thanksgiving Weekend at the Museum

    Museum of The American Revolution

    101 S. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
    • Friday November 27th 2020 at 10:00am to Sunday November 29th 2020 at 5:00pm
This Thanksgiving Weekend, enjoy plenty of space for family fun and explore the foods and festivities that Revolutionaries used to celebrate harvests and victories with pop-up storytimes, take-home craft activities, and virtual cooking demonstrations for all ages.

    Joseph Plumb Martin Performances
Meet Joseph Plumb Martin, a Continental soldier who remembered one Thanksgiving meal of just rice and vinegar, in special pop-up performances. Plumb Martin was one of thousands of teenaged soldiers in Washington’s Army.

    Take-and-Make Crafts
In special take-and-make bags, kids will receive instructions and materials to learn the art of paper-cutting, “scherenschnitte,” brought to America by German immigrants, and create paper decorations inspired by artifacts in the Museum’s collection. Kids also will learn to create their own miniature paper version
