The Philly POPS are back at it again with the 2nd Annual Memorial Day Salute Concert on Saturday, May 26! Led by Maestro Todd Ellison, the 65-piece POPS crew is ready to blow minds with this completely FREE celebratory event. Special blocks of tickets will be given to veterans, active military members, firefighters, local students and Boy and Girl Scouts.
Travel back to the canteen-style pinup shows of the WWII era with Envoute: Magic & Burlesque! On Saturday, May 27, a star-studded cast of Philly's best burlesque performers will sparkle, shine, tease and in the end, raise some money for veterans! VIP ticket holders can expect a swing-dancing contest and special VIP performance.
Join Laurel Hill as they party like it's 1868 with a traditional Decoration Day ceremony! Admission is completely free (although there is a $5 suggested donation) and open to the public on Sunday May 27, as the historic Laurel Hill Cemetery celebrates our lost service members of the past and present. The day will include a traditional wreath-laying, speeches, a parade and complimentary beer and refreshments.
Join the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation for the first ever Sail Philadelphia! Starting on Thursday, May 24 and continuing throughout the Memorial Day holiday, Sail Philadelphia is celebrating Philly's maritime and sailing culture with a fleet of mighty ships. The five-day festival will begin with a Parade of Ships and continue on across the Waterfront with special activities, ship tours and more!
