    Dickens Christmas Party

    Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion

    Where:
    200 W. Tulpehocken Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144
    When:
    • Saturday December 9th 2017, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Celebrate this holiday season by attending the Mansion’s Dickens Christmas Party. Santa Claus will be on hand from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to hear wish lists from children. Take home a photo of your child with Santa as a remembrance of the afternoon. Children have the opportunity to create an ornament featuring a photo with Santa Claus.

Throughout the afternoon, Touch of Classics Victorian Carolers will perform holiday favorites such as “Sleigh Ride,” “The Holly and the Ivy,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Winter Wonderland.” Musical interludes will be interspersed with Victorian Theatre presentations. At 2:00 pm, actress Megan Edelman as Louisa May Alcott will perform one of Alcott’s stories, “Tilly’s Christmas.” And then at 3:15 pm, Mansion favorite, Josh Hitchens, will perform his compelling one-man show of Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Hitchens premiered this one-man performance at the Mansion in December 2009.

Christmas cookies and punch will be served in the Mansion's 1860s kitchen.
Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion is not wheel chair accessible. The ability to walk up and down steps is required.
