Taking their name from a traditional song, Colin's Hens (formed in 2009) are five descendants of trad musicians who have been raised behind the scenes of folk festivals. They learned their trade with some of Quebec's greatest traditional musicians in an area famous for its living heritage: Lanaudière.
Their strong stage presence demonstrates a contagious pleasure and projects the audience in a family and festive atmosphere. It is in 2010 that they record their first album. It is with Hébertisme Nocturne that they take to the stage in major cities in Canada, the United States and France, including festivals such as the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Tadoussac Song Festival, the Sunfest , the Memory and Roots Festival, and many others.
