    Vox Ama Deus

    300 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
    • Friday November 9th 2018, 8:00pm to 10:30pm
In memoriam Lewis du Pont Smith

    J.S. Bach
Piano Concerto No. 1 in d minor, BWV 1052
Magnificat in D Major, BWV 243

    W.A. Mozart
    Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K. 488
    Coronation Mass in C Major, K. 317

Soloists: Andrea Lauren Brown (soprano), Jody Kidwell (alto), Timothy Bentch (tenor), Matthew Maisano (bass), Valentin Radu (piano)

Two choral and two keyboard works by two musical titans. First, J.S. Bach’s sublime Magnificat, his setting of Mary’s exultant canticle of praise, and the Piano Concerto in d minor, Bach’s first concerto for keyboard and perhaps his greatest. Then, Mozart’s most popular Mass setting, the celebratory Coronation Mass, and the dazzling and difficult Piano Concerto No. 23. The keyboard works will feature Maestro Radu performing on the Bösendorfer Concert Grand Piano.
