    Wu Man is recognized as the world’s greatest virtuoso on an instrument that is over 2000 years old: the Chinese pipa and has collaborated as a principal musician in Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad Ensemble. Wu Man’s blend of modern and traditional compositional styles culminates in a unique on stage experience. Join Wu Man and Maestro Dirk Brossé for the Philadelphia Premiere of Brossé’s Mu yan Gu-niang in an unparalleled performance inspired by Asians Migrations worldwide.

    The concert also features Mozart's Divertimento in F, K. 138, as well as Dvořák's beloved Serenade for Strings in E. This all strings concert concludes with Wu Man not only playing solo, but also joining the orchestra for a Pipa concerto!
