This season, SING HALLELUJAH celebrates the arrival of the Jewish people in America, and how our music was changed and enriched by the harmonies, rhythms, colors, and intense emotions of their new home. The program will include American-Jewish musical experiences for chorus, soloists, instrumental ensemble, and feature Cantor Azi Schwartz of New York’s Park Avenue Synagogue as a special guest.

The highlight of the show is sure to be the choral work, “To Bigotry No Sanction,” a setting of a letter written from George Washington to a community of American Jews during his first term as a statement of our nation’s commitment to religious tolerance. Audiences will also get to enjoy a Hebrew adaptation of “You’ll Be Back,” from Hamilton. Don’t miss this incredible concert as we bring together the Jewish communities of Philadelphia.

Cantor David F. Tilman is music director and conductor.

    Participating choirs to be announced.
