    The first concert in Tri-County Concerts’ Emerging Artists Series new season features award-winning young cellist Gabriel Martins performing a Bach suite, a Beethoven sonata, and Dvořák’s Rondo with pianist So-Mang Jeagal.     Winner of the 2020 Concert Artists Guild - Young Classical Artists Trust Grand Prize, the 2020 Sphinx and Schadt String Competitions, the 2018 Orford Music Award, and the 2013 David Popper International Cello Competition, Gabriel Martins has "revealed heart, passion, intellect, and a finely-nuanced palette of colors in a compelling manner worthy of a seasoned artist" (Ralph Kirshbaum).

    Korean-born So-Mang Jeagal won the Grand Prize at the Korea Music Foundation Competition and First Prizes at the Washington International Piano, Liszt International Music, Dong-A Music, and Asia-Pacific Young Artists Competitions.
