We are the 1690 site of British North America's first paper mill built by the family. Located in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, we are a National Historic Landmark District. We welcome nearly 2000 school students each year. They make paper using the same tools and techniques as the Rittenhouse family, tour our authentic early industrial village and prepare a colonial recipe in the 1725 Bake House.
