The Historical Society of Trappe, Collegeville, Perkiomen Valley, Inc. was founded in 1964 as a non-profit educational society to encourage local historical research and publication of the results, promote historical activities in the community, and encourage the preservation of historic sites. The Visitor Center, next to the Henry Muhlenberg House; 201 West Main Street, provides a meeting point, and offers restrooms and a gift shop. A typical Colonial Garden is a point of interest at the rear of the house. The grounds are often the site of the annual Heritage Day event.
