The Independence Living History Center is operated by Once Upon A Nation and Independence National Historical Park. Here visitors can see archeologists work on pieces discovered at the excavation site of the National Constitution Center, and hear storytellers make local history come alive.

Most Once Upon A Nation tours depart from here, and some programming is offered as well, including 1776: The Movie-Musical. The Once Upon A Nation gift shop is located in the lobby, where visitors can purchase tickets to all tours and events.
