The International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF) was founded in 1988 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization, the IETF is guided by an executive board of directors, a medical advisory board and an executive director with a staff of four. The organization's membership consists of patients, physicians, educators, health care workers, parents, relatives, friends and volunteers. Their mission is to provide global educational information, services and support to those affected by essential tremor (ET), and to health care providers, while promoting and funding ET research.
