    Scott Associates Fall Celebration October 21 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College

500 College Avenue Swarthmore PA 19081
    • Sunday October 21st 2018, 4:00pm to 5:00pm

The garden at Gravetye Manor was first established in 1885 by the revolutionary gardener and writer William Robinson. Central to his creation is a 1.5-acre elliptic walled garden, which was perfectly designed to produce fruit and vegetables for the estate.

After a period of neglect, this beautiful garden was restored in 2010 and is now managed to provide the Manor’s Michelin star restaurant with ingredients. In this talk, head gardener Tom Coward will discuss the history of this fascinating garden and explain the work involved in growing for one of the finest restaurants in the UK.

Reception to follow the presentation. Free and open to the public.
