The Perkiomen Trail is nearly 20 miles of crushed stone trail, although some sections are paved, but a hybrid or mountain bike is best suited for trail conditions. The route begins at Route 29 in the Borough of Green Lane and ends at the junction of the Schuylkill River Trail in Oaks. A popular access point for the trail is at the Oaks trailhead, within Lower Perkiomen Valley Park in Norristown, PA where parking is available. The trail is open from dawn to dusk.
