Parkway Central Library, Free Library of Philadelphia, 1901 Vine Street
    Philadelphia, PA 19103
    When:
    • Wednesday June 12th 2024, 6:00pm to 7:00pm
The Music Department is excited to partner with Urban Movement Arts to bring a series of dance classes to Parkway Central! Classes will be offered during evenings on the second Wednesday of the month throughout April, May, and June. The event will take place in the Skyline Room, on the 4th floor of the Parkway Central Library.

Our third and final class is Vogue. Vogue Femme is the dance form birthed from the Underground Ballroom Scene. Students will learn the 5 elements: Hands Performance, Catwalks, Duckwalks, Spins+Dips, and Floor Performance. Students will explore these elements through drills, freestyle, and choreography. History and cultural contexts about the Ballroom scene will also be discussed in class.

This class is open to dancers at All Levels. Bring your own water bottle!

If you have any questions about this program, please reach out to the Music Department by email at erefmus@freelibrary.org or by phone at 215-686-5316.
