    The Old York Road Symphony is one of the oldest, continuous community orchestras in the United States. It was founded in 1932-1933 by renowned Philadelphia musicians, including a concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Today, the Symphony has about 65 playing members, all volunteer musicians from the Delaware Valley who range in age from high school through senior citizen and represent the full range of instrumentalists. The Mission of the Symphony is to provide an outlet for the interests and talents of serious musicians of all ages and to enrich the cultural life of suburban Philadelphia.
